About Sherry Harris

Sherry was drawing horses long before she took her first watercolor classes at Eastern Illinois University in Chareston, IL. Also, she has taken workshops with well-known watercolorists Henry Bell AWS, Joseph Fettings NWS, Maggie McClellan, and many others. Sherry exhibited in the Kentucky Watercolor Society National Juried Aqueous USA show in 1997, 1998, and 2000.

Sherry grew up in Salem, MO where her father raised American Saddle bred horses. Horses have always been an inspiration for her art as well as domesting cats and other animals.

After a trip to Lexington, KY to visit the Kentucky Horse Park, she fell in love with the Egyptian Arabian Horses. "The Egyptian event was going on at the same time and I saw the most beautiful horses in the world."

Since 1997, Sherry has been a commercial art exhibitor at the Egyptian event. She donates an original watercolor painting to the Egyptian event at auction every year.

Sherry's artwork is in private collections in the USA, Canada, Ireland, and Qatar.
